BEAUTY BOOSTING RECIPE: Oat and Almond Energy Balls

Ingredients:

90g (1 cup) rolled oats
125ml (½ cup) almond butter (natural, unsweetened)
60ml (¼ cup) honey  (or maple syrup for a vegan alternative)
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
A pinch of salt (optional)
30g (¼ cup)  crushed almonds for coating
Optional add-ins: 1 tablespoon chia seeds or flaxseeds, or a handful of mini dark chocolate chips

Instructions:
1.In a medium bowl, mix together the rolled oats, almond butter, honey, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt until well combined. If the mixture is too dry, add a bit more almond butter or honey.
2.If using any optional add-ins like chia seeds, flaxseeds, or chocolate chips, stir them into the mixture.
3.Roll the mixture into small balls, about the size of a tablespoon.
4.Place the crushed almonds in a shallow dish. Roll each ball in the crushed almonds to coat.
5.Place the energy balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to set.
6.Once set, store the energy balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
